40 young carers from two HEART Academies Trust schools – Shortstown Primary School and Cauldwell School – enjoyed a fantastic trip to Whipsnade Zoo, thanks to the incredible generosity of the Rotary Club of Bedford.
From watching the penguin talk and meeting the lemurs to exploring ...the butterfly enclosure (where one lucky child even had a butterfly land on them!), the children embraced every opportunity to learn about the amazing animals around them. 🦋
The Rotary Club funded the entire experience, including coach travel, zoo entry, refreshments and a special t-shirt and cap for every child.
We are incredibly grateful to the Rotary Club of Bedford for providing this inspiring opportunity and helping our young carers enjoy a memorable day. 💙
